One essential piece to any warm weather wardrobe is a versatile skirt. Spring 2010 offers three great styles of skirt to choose from: the miniskirt, pleated skirt and pencil skirt.

Spring 2010's Fashionable Mini Skirt

This season's mini skirts are body conscious falling close to the hips. The slim fitted and knit mini skirts are it for spring 2010. Mini skirts are more for casual and nighttime wear. Pairing this season's best mini skirts with a button down blouse, short sleeve solid tee, or waist length jacket are ideal. Finish the look with a moderate height heel, loafers or tennis shoes. For the daring female of the office, D& G's Boucle Miniskirt in cream priced at $285.00, will make all heads turn at work. The Fashion Perfect Pencil Skirt for Spring 2010

This slim offering of spring 2010 is not as versatile as the mini skirt but lends itself readily to professional and business casual attire. A white button down blouse in any style looks great with this skirt. Blouses paired with suit jackets or blazers make for an easy transition into professional office attire. For an edgier look try a body hugging tank top or halter top. Jessica London's Classic Pencil Skirt with an asymmetrical sash looks fabulous in plum berry. This skirt is regularly priced from $49.99 to $54.99 depending on size, which goes up size 32. Priced at $39.99 to $44.99 it is a good investment that can be worn with this season's mini and pleated skirts as well.

The Spring Pleated Skirt is Fashion Forward for 2010

The pleated skirt comes in many lengths this season and adds a girlish flirt to all lengths of skirt. Mini skirts look fabulous with pin tuck pleats. Knee length flared skirt are fetching with box pleats. Almost any style of shirt looks great with a pleated skirt just be sure to not overdo it with patterns and embellishments. A demure pleated skirt just right for spring 2010 is Chloe's Pleated Stretch Cotton Skirt in yellow for $280.00. This adorable inverted pleat skirt has a center bow at the waistband for an added touch of femininity. This skirt will pair beautifully with a feminine blouse in a floral or ombre print. To up the ante, try matching it with the season's hottest color, turquoise.

These three skirt styles for spring 2010 will add more depth to your existing spring wardrobe. Have fun with the mini if you dare to show off those gams. Be confident in the pencil skirt in and outside of the office. Fill the spaces in between with the versatile pleated skirt. Play around and do not be afraid to go against convention. All three of these skirt styles went against the grain at one point in fashion history and are now fashion staples.

There's a big variety...but never mind the skirts. What's with those over-sized mid 1980's women's jackets coming back into style, with the folded cuffs? Yuck. been there. Done that.
