I have not found HP to be very remarkable in the netbook race, as of yet. But, I believe the HP Mini 311 is very affordable and really great deal for what it offers. Though streaming Flash videos with nVidia Ion graphics can get a bit spotty and the touch pad can get annoying at times, it very reasonably priced for what it offers. The best on the list for top affordable netbooks has to be the Samsung N120, I have personally used it and it has shown me some excellent performance so far. Powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270, 1GB of Ram and 160GB of Hard Disk, the Samsung N120 is one of the best in the market. For a netbook it has a huge keyboard and that is one of its most brilliant features. Also, it has really wonderful sound as it has a 2.1 in built speaker system. Although, I think it is a bit over priced as it has just basic hardware the netbook is definitely the best and a few extra dollars for the best won't be much of harm.
