The Top 5 IPad Apps for EBook Reader Fans

The Best IPad Apps for Reading EBooks

Millionaire Hoy
When I first bought my iPad, I did so to replace my Amazon Kindle and if you're a fan of eBooks and eBook Readers, following are the top 5 apps to turn your iPad into the best eReader out there.

iAnnotate PDF - $9.99

Out of all the eBook reader apps on the iPad, iAnnotate PDF is the one that I use the most - mostly because PDFs are my preferred eBook format. iAnnotate PDF allows you to read fully scaled PDFs - without having to resize after each page turn -, allows highlighting, bookmarking, writing notes, typing notes, and underlining, and even has an inbuilt web browser - so that you don't have to close iAnnotate PDF and stop reading your eBook to follow an external link. The only downside to iAnnotate PDF is that it's the only eReader app on this list that isn't free - but it's well worth the asking price.

Stanza - Free

If you're looking for an iPad eBook reading app that's easy to use, packed with features, and comes with over 50,000 free classic eBooks, you should download Stanza by Lexcycle ASAP. Stanza has been downloaded more than 4 million times on iTunes and has won awards from Time Magazine, PC Magazine, the New York Times, Forbes, Apple, and other publications - and for good reasons. The Stanza eBook reader can easily support multiple eBook formats, is easily customizable - invert text color, adjust font size, change font color, etc. - and is definitely an eReader app that you should have installed on your iPad.

Kindle - Free

Kindle is the ultimate eBook reading platform and is featured on both Windows and Mac computers, smartphones, Kindle readers, and now on the iPad. If you've migrated from a Kindle eReader the Kindle app for the iPad will make the transition that much easier and will allow you to access your favorite eBooks with the added speed and features of the iPad. If you're new to Kindle, there's no better way to be introduced to it than with the Apple iPad.

iBooks - Free

iBooks is Apple's default eBook reader app that's available for free in the iTunes App Store. Apple's premier eReader app allows you to import ePub and PDF books, organizes them neatly onto a virtual bookshelf, and boasts several awesome features - including dynamic page turns, an inbuilt dictionary, font adjustments, and access to Apple's iBooks Store.

Barnes and Noble Nook - Free

The introduction of the iPad totally changed the way eBook Readers were sold, manufactured, and the features they hold, and in order for eBook readers to survive, most of them have had to take the "if you can't beat em; join em" mentality in relation to the iPad. Barnes and Noble, creators of the Nook, have taken this approach and are offering their online book store and features on the iPad in their Barnes and Noble Nook app - which is one of the best eReaders on the iPad.
