The Top 5 PC Speakers You Should Look Into
Some of These PC Speakers Are Better for Gaming and Movie Watching While Others Are Suitable for Music
1.) Logitech Z-5 $57.99
These 10-inch speakers are sleek and light in design that's perfect if you're limited on desktop space. They offer a decent quality of omnidirectional sound while a cut above the standard speakers that come with PCs. Logitech Z-5's are compatible with Windows PCs and the Mac. It features a remote control that allows you to playback music from across the room. Also, there is a USB connectivity for full power. The cons with these speakers are there's little bass and no volume control on the speakers themselves. Its sound is not powerful. You must connect it with a USB port that will take up one needed for other electronics. Otherwise, the price is certainly right for this very compact set of worthy PC speakers.
2.) Logitech Z523 $79.99
If you want something more than the straightforward 2.0 stereo system in your PC speakers try these 2.1 speakers with a subwoofer that enhances low frequency sounds such as the bass. For the price it features a good, strong bass and the speakers have volume and bass controls. One of Logitech's finest qualities is their omnidirectional acoustics. You can hear it from the back and front. There is a headphone outlet jack for private listening. Other headphone jacks can be used to amplify sounds from iPods and music phones. The only real con is the sound quality is not as good as the more expensive ones. Also, you will need room for the subwoofer. However, the Z523 is the best PC speakers for its price.

It does offer decent clarity and a nice sound quality. There is no secondary auxiliary input for another audio device. On the top of the left speaker is the volume control. Once again, if you're short on space these will fit anywhere in a tight spot.
4.) Altec Lansing Expressionist Bass FX3022 $129.00
This set of PC speakers is more ideal for gaming and movie watching due to its incredible bass quality. The subwoofers are built into the speakers, so there's no more worries for placement of the subwoofer module. If you're into music these speakers would not be practical, because the treble can be harsh when the volume is turned up. Most PC speaker models now contain a remote control, though this one is not included. Gamers will truly appreciate its price, because of the all in one PC speakers.
5.) M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 $149.00

But you didn't even mention the ones in the attached picture that use dual opposing passive radiators to deliver deep bass in a very small speaker... or any of the Companion computer speakers that I worked so hard on while at Bose... :-(
Great suggestions. Since my computer is my main way of listening to music, I should invest in better speakers.
