First stop at the Goodwill Inc., located on Oakland Avenue. There is always a good bargain at the goodwill and you will feel good about yourself knowing you have helped to put someone else into a job! From clothes and shoes to household goods and furniture or books and movies you never know what will turn up at the Goodwill! I walked out of this Goodwill with four dress suits for only $16.95! Compared to department store prices where you can easily drop $200.00 on ONE dress suit!
Next we drive half a block to The Arc of Indiana County, hosting its yearly Garage Sale, within the Regency Mall, located off of Oakland Avenue. All the proceeds go to help the Arc of Indiana County to help children with disablities. Donations are now being accepted and the bargains are guaranteed! I found vinyl records here for only .25 a piece!
Just outside of the Regency Mall, along the strip, Ollies Bargain Outlet, offers discounted items usually about 25% cheaper than Walmart. From household supplies to furniture, select clothing, books, and movies; Ollies just may have what you are looking for! I found a set of three loofa sponges for $1.29 compared to Walmart and the Dollar Stores where they are a $1.00 a piece!
Travel further down Oakland Avenue to Trader Horn, located directly adjacent to Walmart, this is another store similar to Ollie's only much much bigger! They offer groceries, out door items, as well as household goods, books, and clothing! Stop in and see what you can find for dirt cheap!
Driving back into downtown where you can find Tracey's Treasures Consignment Shop on 724 Philadelphia Street right next door to the Subway restaurant. Tracey accepts gently used items as donations. There are a wonderful array of evening dresses, shoes, and knick knacks as well as a wonderful smiling face behind the counter!
These are just a few examples of the many places that you can save your money for that fancy vacation or new car you always wanted! Enjoy saving those pennies and continue to pinch them away!
