There are many sites on the Internet that give their opinion of what are the top 5 point and shoot cameras on the market today. I have sorted through this mountain of data, opinions, and reviews and presenting what I found to be the top 5 point and shoot cameras, overall. What constitutes the "best" camera can be determined by different factors such as lowest price, most features, best quality picture, ease of use, and best value. It has long battery life, AVI and Motion JPEG video, self-timer, 2.5 inch LCD screen, auto and manual ISO settings, various flash functions and much more in such a small package.

I recommend you stay with a well-known brand and look at what type of batteries and memory modules you will be using. Check out the mega-pixels and auto features, optical zoom capability and motion recording specifications when looking at cameras other than the ones listed. By doing this you can hardly go wrong.
