Boasting a lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable this point and shoot camera can take up to 300 pictures on a single charge. This Lumix will save you a lot of dough on batteries.
Canon PowerShot SD 1100 IS
Amazon.com lists the Canon PowerShot SD 100 IS starting a $255.00. This seems like a high price to pay for a 8.3 mega-pixel, 3x optical zoom camera but it has been out for about 2 years and and users of this point and shoot camera have nothing to say but good things about it's many features and great flexibility for taking pictures. It has long battery life, AVI and Motion JPEG video, self-timer, 2.5 inch LCD screen, auto and manual ISO settings, various flash functions and much more in such a small package.

If you are beginning photographer looking for a full-feature camera the Samsung ES55 is so easy to use look no farther. This camera, for sure, belongs with the Top 5 point and shoot cameras. This point and shoot camera is a first-choice for the dollar capable of some serious photography.
