1. Buying a house. While many Americans are losing their homes, others are postponing buying one.
2. Taking a trip to see fall foliage. According to Yahoo! on 10/4, the top spot for viewing fall foliage is Boston, Massachusetts. I did that trip in October 2004.
3. Buying a fancy adult costume for Halloween '07! I've never done that. Maybe next year!
4. Brand name Trick-or-Treat candy. Hey, Wal-Mart and other retailers offer great deals. Why pay $5 a bag when you can pay $3?
5. Deodorant. This is a serious crisis; but in most climates, we will be saving on deodorant in the upcoming months. This is actually a product for which coupons are available.
Our financial situations are so pathetic that we just have to laugh about them. What else is there to do?
