The first used vehicle on the list is the GMC Sonoma. This is one f the best automobiles a college student could have. They are extremely gas efficient which for a college student in these economic times when gas prices are so high is a must. The second thing about these is they are a truck which will come in handy when moving in and out and of the dorm, and also for any there unexpected need. They bad parts about this car is that it does not have a lot of room for people, which can be really frustrating at times.
The second used car that is a good choice is that of the Volkswagen New Beetle. This car is gas efficient and has an excellent resale value. If you are able to get one of these for a good price they are a great car. With good power and great looks. There are two problems with this car however. The oil filter is very hard to change yourself, which will not be a problem for people who take it to a service station. The second problem is the first couple of years had problems with the sensors, so if you do not mind your check engine light on and your ABS light on it is a very good choice.
The third car is the Dodge Caravan. This is not the best car to attract a mate, but it is one of the best ones practically. With the Stow and Go seating these cars are great for hauling both passengers and gear. Also they are really cheap because vans have horrible resale value.
The fourth car you should consider a Nissan Cube. This is a pretty new car who's owners usually like to hang onto, but they are stylish, reliable, and have great room for storage. They truly are the best "toaster shaped" car on the market.
The final car is a Dodge Intrepid. These cars have space for people, but also can slip in and out of parking spaces. These cars are pretty generic but get the job done.
