Bremerton, Washington, known as the Navy town, has cultural venues ranging from symphonic, theatric, to artsy. It is easy to enjoy the arts and cultural scene while visiting this historic town.

If you are in the market for some good music, head over to the Bremerton Symphony. The Symphony presents a full season of concerts in the popular Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center. This Center is renowned for its state-of-the-art technology.

The Symphony offers live, classical music. There also are youth programs available. It is nice when they have an entire concert devoted to one composer, I find. Anyways, there is a great variety of classical music entertainment to be enjoyed while listening to the Bremerton Symphony.

Call them at 360-373-1722 for more information. Or, visit their website at www.bremertonsymphony.org.

A beautifully renovated venue for entertainment is found at the Admiral Theatre. Originally built in 1942 as a movie theatre, this venue was recently remodeled. The theatre is 25,000 square foot and holds close to 1,000 seats. It is simply breathtaking. If anything, go here just to see how beautiful the place is!

Located in downtown Bremerton, this place is easy to find. The signage is great! There is ample available parking, too.

The Theatre holds a variety of big-name entertainment, arts performances, and private events throughout the year. Some of the big name entertainments here recently are the Second City comedy troupe, Judy Collins, and the Smothers Brothers. The list goes on. I recently saw the Peking Acrobats show here. The choreography, acrobatics, and music were just plain fun and entertaining!

What is nice about the Admiral Theatre is the fact that some events can be available as a dinner package. Patrons can enjoy an entertainment package with either balcony seating or cabaret seating.

The food is tasty, highly recommended, and reasonably priced. The Theatre also has a full liquor license and bar for patrons' enjoyment.

Another nice thing about the Admiral Theatre is the fact that they are actively involved in the local community. Community groups throughout the year hold events here.

Call the Admiral Theatre at 360-377-8831. Ask for a program schedule. Or, visit them at 400 Warren Avenue, Bremerton, Washington.
