Choosing five motorcycles that will definitely hold high resale values is an easy list to produce since the historical data trends can tell the story along with me. Custom motorcycles are so difficult to quantify and since the customization is usually fairly personal, the resale value can vary. Therefore I have left out modern classics like the bikes assembled by Orange County Choppers, and other custom bike builders in that business.

The top brands will definitely hold resale value well, but not exactly on every single model. There are some safe bets out there that may even increase in value. For example unless you welded on some training wheels and painted it pink, then most of the decent models out there will hold their value, and some may even increase.

FIRST CHOICE, Harley Davidson XL1200X Sportster Forty Eight, Cruiser Type Bike.

Current pricing shows this model available for about $14,999. Though it is not hard to see the resale be in the better than half price range, then those well kept bikes can possibly fetch even more money if the transaction is handled via the right buyer and seller.
