The Top Five Christmas Light for 2009

Amy Stepp
I love decorating for Christmas and really enjoy it when there are new products available. I always love grabbing the lights that I haven't used before so I can create a better Christmas lighting project. However, if you are in the area of spending money to test new things and really don't know how well they work, then more power to you, most of us do not have the extra cash to try this light set or that light set. We need to know what is going to work the best, display the best before we shell out dollar after dollar on trying all different light products. I have the top five Christmas lights that will save you time and effort this year and they all can be found at www.christmaslightsetc.com. When you are there just type in the product id code I will provide for you and it will take you directly to the Christmas light set I will be talking about.

9 inch Garland Lights, 300 Clear Lamps, Green Wire #17905:
Garland lights are the best thing for people who love to decorate their porches, decks or even around your doorways. I picked this Christmas light set because it is the websites best seller on top of the 30' lead cord it provides. There are 300 clear lights on this one strand which means the lights will really stand out! A low price of only $19.95.

20 Clear Mini Lights #15180:
Mini lights provide that added extra touch to any Christmas decor you have. They can be wrapped around candles, spaced through a Christmas centerpiece and if you have any Christmas glass that requires lighting, they can be used behind it to create a soft glow. This specific light set is small enough to work in the tiniest places and the white wire allows you to be more professional with your lighting project. The best part is, if one bulb goes out the rest will stay lit, this will cut down on your cost of having to buy replacement strands. They are sold at a low price of $2.90 but the more you buy the more you save because discounts are available with these Christmas lights.

6" Shimmering Mini Starlight Sphere #13688:
When I was growing up my aunts always loved camping. One thing they had at their campsites were these light spheres that were made out of Christmas lights strung and tied together through clear plastic cups. Of course they were homemade and weren't put together professionally, however, I still enjoyed the light they gave off. Each year as I got older I tried to find something that would resemble what my aunts had and this year I did. This 6 inch sphere is great for hanging from porch tops or even door top in your house. The lights are combined together to give a twinkling affect. I am picking the clear light sphere to show you, however they do have red, blue and green available as well for your Christmas lighting project. To best describe this light is to say it reminds me of the ball that drops in Time Square on New Year's Eve. Originally $22.02 it is now on sale for $19.95.

70 LED Multicolored Wide Angle, Flicker Free Style Light Set #20358:
LED lights are the best way to go these days because we are always trying a way to save the planet and make everything more energy efficient. I love these lights because the wide angle bulb make the LED light glow brighter and give off light in all different directions other then just straight ahead like the pointy old bulbs do. The multi-color light strand is great for indoors or outdoors and the lights are spaced 4" apart. Only $16.95 per box! If you are not crazy for the multi colored lights, don't worry, they also have single colored lights available.

Battery Operated LED Tea Light Set with Flicker Flame #19562:
I am all for burning candles during the holidays, however I sometimes forget to blow them out if I am leaving the house. I have always joked for years that during the holidays my house is one phone call away from having the fire department grace our doors. These battery operated LED tea lights make my passion for candles still happen and at the same time allows me not to worry about blowing out those flames. The LED batteries for these lights are included and the lights have an on/off switch that will let you keep the battery lasting longer. The flame flickers and gives the real feel of a burring candle. A box of 6 tea lights are only $7.95.
