1. KEYWORD DENSITY
This is without a doubt one of the most overlooked elements in designing a great web page that will benefit from SEO techniques. Some designers love to "keyword stuff'', meaning they will use the same keyword in a blog or web article more than 20% of the entire content of the web page. Whatever you do, DON'T do this! Google will not respond kindly to any web site that tries to get a higher page ranking by using this technique.

The total percentage of keyword usage on one web page should between 6% and 18% only, never go over this amount. There are many free sites in which you can calculate the percentage amount, so as soon as you finish a page, go submit it to one of those sites to make sure you are in the right percentage amount.

The most critical areas that your main keyword should be in is the title tag once, the heading tag once, where you should have your text in bold to get the attention of the search engine reader. Make sure to include your keywords in the first sentence and the last sentence on your main home page as well.

2. TITLE TAGS
Every single web page on your site needs a title tag with your main keyword embedded in it. This cannot be missed by any optimizer at any time. If you do not get this important step done correctly, all of your other efforts with SEO will be for nothing. The title tags can be read by both humans and robots that the search engines send out to crawl over your web pages.

Your page keywords will be greatly enhance by a well place title tag, as well as increasing your site's overall accessability in general. Even if a web page reader has a disability like sight impairedness, he will be able to navigate your web pages with more ease than with your pages that have no title tags in them.

3. ALT TAGS
Here is yet another area where you must not go over the amount of keywords you can use for SEO purposes. A Google ban for life will befall you if you do not abide by Google's specific guidelines when it comes to alt tag keyword density. A good definition of an alt tag would be: An alternative text description for images. ALT is a required element for images because the only function ALT has is in describing images in text form.

When an image on your main page contains a lot of vital information, your alt tag should be used as a short summary of what the image is conveying. This helps the vision impaired to your site actually understand the message that your visual image is giving to your web audience.

4. LINK POPULARITY
Most search engines including Google, actually will not consider your site worth their time unless you have at least one or two valuable links to another, larger website. Make sure that the links you have coming back to your site also includes the same keywords you have used in your title page, as well as most other pages in your site.

Never link your site to a site that indulges in cheap SEO tricks like keyword stuffing, hidden text, doorway pages, and any other "black hat" techniques that will result in Google and Yahoo banning your site just because of your affiliation with a disreputable site like sees nothing wrong with using any tactic around that will get them a #1 page ranking.

5. MEANINGFUL CONTENT
With the rising ability for the major search engines to begin seeking out greater overall content in every web page out there, you really need to begin bringing in true value content to all of your returning web page viewers, as well as drawing new ones in. The web pages on your site need to have at least 300 to 500 words per page in order to fulfill this need.

Your target for the amount of pages you need to link to with like-minded keywords embedded in their pages is 250- 300. This includes all links to pages related to your main title tags. Including articles relevant to the market your site is targeting is a great way to increase your overall link quality.

When you really study these SEO techniques, you should not have a problem in bringing true success to your web business.

Very informative, but you lost me with this paragraph below. Can you explain this further? I can't make heads of tails of it.
