Angela Colley
In the premier season of "Grey's Anatomy" fans first got to meet the show's core characters and experience the snappy, and often insightful dialog, that makes "Grey's Anatomy" one of the best shows on television. In season one, George and Izzie moved in with Meredith, Meredith and Derek started their rollercoaster relationship and Dr. Bailey spoke the truth to anyone who would listen. Here are five of the best quotes from the first season of "Grey's Anatomy."

" You know, I would have been a really good postal worker. I'm dependable." - George

In episode 101, A Hard Day's Night, the interns get their first glance at life inside the hospital- and it is not exactly what they expected. George says this to Meredith as they are discussing what life would have been like outside of medical school.

"We're adults. When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?" - Meredith

In episode 105, Shake Your Groove Thing, Meredith muses on her life as a resident, her mother with Alzheimer's and her rocky relationship with Dr. Dreamy. After a bought of frustration, you hear all-to-true voiceover from Meredith.

"Where are the tampons?" - Meredith
"He didn't buy them." - Izzie
"You didn't buy them?" - Meredith
"Men don't buy tampons!" - George

In episode 104, No Man's Land, Izzie busts in on George in the bathroom, wanting to know why George didn't get everything on the shopping list. George tries to point out that maybe Izzie shouldn't just come into the bathroom but before she listens to reason, Meredith pops in and starts the whole conversation over. Frustrated, George reminds the girls that he is the only man living in the house as they walk out of the bathroom.

"I'm not driving. I'm not on call. I'm in my own house. My life is crap. And it's my party and I'll get drunk if I want to."

In episode 105, Shake Your Groove Thing, at a house party, Meredith declares she plans on getting drunk. A statement fans will hear several times over the next few seasons.

"You know, you think you're charming, in that talented, neurotic, overly moussed hair sort of way. Good for you." - Bailey

In episode 106, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Bailey tells off Dr. Sheppard for favoring Meredith over the other interns. This is one of the great matter-of-fact speeches given by Bailey throughout the past few seasons of "Grey's Anatomy."
