The Top Five Store Brand Products

Barbie Crafts
The old saying is that you get what you pay for, but that is not always the truth. There are some store brand products that are notable in their own right.

1. Kroger Brand Premium Coffee
This coffee is quite comparable to more expensive coffee brands such as Folgers Classic Roast. It is available in small and large sizes, and they regularly put it on sale at an even lower price. It is one of the few coffees that still come in a multi-use metal tin.

2. CVS Brand Cocoa Butter Lotion
This is very rich and effective lotion. It can even be used on your face because it is not greasy. The price is reasonable, and you can get it in smaller sizes, too. If you see twenty-somethings using a beauty product, it is usually good.

3. Dollar Tree Watch Batteries
You can get a package of around 8 watch batteries for a dollar and replace batteries in several watches. They may possibly not last as long as a jewelry store battery, but considering the price, it is a great bargain. The only problem is that they get snatched up the minute they stock them, so they are hard to find.

4. Wal-Mart Strengthening Nail Polish Remover
This is the best nail polish remover I have ever used. It takes the polish off with not much more than one swipe, and it leaves your nails feeling nourished. It is in a purple bottle, and it is a product that is worth much more than it costs, and I would pay it.

5. Dollar General Store Dishwasher Liquid
This is a good quality product that leaves your dishes clean. The price is a very significant savings over name brand products, even considering coupons. It has the consistency of the good stuff without the price. It is not thin and runny like other cheap products.

Final Thoughts
You can save money by regularly using store brand products, but some store brands are better than name brands. You just need to know which ones.
