1) Finding Nemo
I fell in love with Finding Nemo. The characters are amazing- well developed and fun to watch. It's also interesting to see how they interact with each other, and even though they are animals- Disney did an amazing job. Finding Nemo is a story about a clown fish, Marlin, who is looking for his son, Nemo, who gets lost in the beginning of the movie.
As Marlin continues on his journey, he meets another strange fish, Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres). Dory and Marlin have an awesome adventure trying to find Nemo.
2) Ratatouille
Ratatouille is another animated Disney film that I love. Disney always has a way of making jokes in kids movies that only adults would get... usually the adult jokes just fly over kids' heads. Ratatouille is about a cook who wants to move up in the restaurant business, but he meets a rat who can cook. The rat does not talk but Remy, the cook, finds out that the rat has a sort of magical power and can understand him. The animation is completely different than Finding Nemo. In Finding Nemo, the animation is more cartoon like than computer animated. In Ratatouille, parts of the movie look like they are so realistic but it's all just animated. It's amazing and kind of hard to explain.. but just watch the movie to find out.
3) Wall-E
Wall-E is unlike any Disney movie I've ever seen. It is completely different from anything else Disney has ever done! Wall-E is about saving planet Earth and making sure that humans don't turn into lazy, automatic, robotic slobs.
It is a mostly silent movie- besides the fact where humans talk in certain parts, but Wall-E and Eve are silent partners. Wall-E is a robot who discovers that Earth has become one gigantic land fill for everyone's trash. They have robots who try to collect things or break things and fix them to make the planet better, but it's not working. The humans aren't living on Earth because that's how polluted and disgusting it looks. Some people did not like Wall-E, but, personally, I thought it was cute and amazing. Wall-E also has important messages about the environment and people trying to stay active and healthy.
4) UP
UP is a movie about moving forward, adventure, and upwards. In UP, Carl Fredericksen is about to embark on an adventure with his wife, Ellie. I won't say much more about the movie but, if you watch it you will see why it is incredible. All you need to know about UP is that it involves a boy scout, an old man, dogs and lots of balloons.
Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Wall-E and UP are the top four animated Disney movies so far. Every year Disney always seems to out-do themselves. I wonder what they'll do next?
