The Top Hotels on St. Johns USVI

St. Johns is the smallest island of the three that make up U.S. Virgin Island, but it is the least developed and has the most natural beauty in the entire Caribbean. The island of St. Johns is almost covered two-thirds with U.S. National Park, which leaves much of the land natural and its beauty undisturbed. The island boasts some of the most romantic and beautiful beaches, but still offer amazing water activity. Because of the limited space on the island, few hotels and resorts have been made but there are still plenty of ways that you stay on this tropical paradise.

St. johns has two main resorts on the island, The Westin Resort and Caneel Bay Resort. The Westin Resort is located on the southwest side of the island has easy access with a ferry that comes right up to the hotels dock. The resort boasts a wide-open array of plant life and is spread out over a large amount of land. The beach is wide and long and has water trampolines just offshore, but the water here is murky and has a very low visibility. The rooms are spread out among many different buildings, with each room facing the bay. The rooms themselves are basic but have a comfortable feel to them, and are more comfortable after a long day at the beach. Overall this hotel is very well set into the tropical background but the surrounding area moderately taking care of.

Caneel Bay Resort offers guests the ability to get away from the everyday hassle of modern life. With no televisions and very basic electric appliances, this resort will bring you closer to nature than ever. The resort is located on the northwest side of the island and is spread out over some of the best beaches on St. Johns. The views of the sun setting over neighboring island St. Thomas will be your television and once the sun goes down you will too from exhaustion. The rooms feature high-quality appliances but are molded into the overall theme of the resort which is to relax in nature.

St. Johns has many beaches that are suitable for everything from sun bathing to snorkeling to wind surfing, or anything you could dream of doing on a beach. The hotels on this island are nice, but with all the activity and attractions during the day, the hotels will be a good place to sleep and nothing more than that. So no matter where you plan to stay, whether it is resort, bed and breakfast, or a campground, the island of St. Johns will always be one of your most memorable trips.
