The Top Ten Games from the 2010 NFL Schedule

JM Van Horn
Two days before the draft, the 2010 NFL schedule was released, sending fans into frenzy as they begin to circle dates on their Fall calendars. Here are the top ten games from the newly released 2010 NFL schedule.

September 9, 2010 - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints

Grudge match time. The Vikings will have a chance to avenge the over time loss in the 2009 NFC Conference Championship game. This game should erase any thoughts that Brett Favre will not return in 2010. Favre will get the attention he wants and the NFL will rack in the viewers.

September 13, 2010 - Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets

This game on Monday night has the potential to be one of the best defensive match-ups in the 2010 NFL season. Jets coach Rex Ryan will need his whole arsenal to beat his former team.

September 26, 2010 - New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

What makes this game exciting is all of the trash talking both teams did before and after their two meetings in 2009. It will also be interesting to watch how the Dolphins newest edition, Brandon Marshall, plays against the Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis.

September 26, 2010 - Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

One of the things lacking in the NFL is cross conference rivalries and this game will go along way in helping to create one. Both teams have an explosive offense and will be ready to air it out.

October 17, 2010 - Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings

If both teams can continue to build upon their success from the 2009 season, this meeting in October could be a pivotal spot that will help determine home field in the playoffs. Make sure to mark this game on your calendar as a much watch from the 2010 NFL season.

October 24, 2010 - New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers

Will this be the game when the Chargers' Phillip Rivers takes the torch from the Patriots' Tom Brady and helps send them back into the middle of the AFC? This game could be a preview of the 2010 AFC Conference Championship game.

November 21, 2010 - Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots

Despite what anyone may say, both of these teams are going to be in contention when they meet on the field during the middle of the 2010 NFL season. The winner of this game could very well lock up home field throughout the playoffs.

November 25, 2010 - New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys

After the Cowboys knocked off the Saints in December, everyone was curious to see what would happen if they met in the playoff. It never transpired so now the Saints will have their chance for revenge during this nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game.

November 28, 2010 - San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts

This will be the last game between the titans of the AFC and will put the finishing touch for each team's playoff run. This Monday Night game should receive high ratings thanks to the high scoring offenses.

December 19, 2010 - Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots

While it would be fun to watch these two teams play in the snow, NFL fans would be on the short end if they missed out on a match between two of the top quarterbacks in the league.

Ravens and Jets may need cops on the field to stop the fighting. I look forward to the Bears and Peppers coming to Charlotte as well.

JM, great write up but you missed the Eagles / Washington game. THat's the biggest game of the year from a story point of view. Not often a franchise QB comes back while he is still pretty good to play the team that dealt him - in the division!
