The Top Ten Leaders in Comics

A leader is someone special. Somebody who can unite, inspire, and lead through any situation. When it comes to comics, there's a plethora of these characters. I'll give you a run down of the top ten best that comics has to offer.

#10 - Monica Rambeau
Monica Rambeau has led both the Avengers and Nextwave with very good results. She really hit her stride with Nextwave, keeping a potentially volatile team united and not at each other's throats.

#9 - Wasp
Wasp is the Avengers' best leader after Steve Rogers, and as a founding member with many years of experience it's not hard to see why. She may not have the tactical ability of the other people on this list, but she's the kind of leader you admire and don't want to disappoint. And to lead a team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes as well as she did, she must be a fantastic leader.

#8 - Nick Fury
Nick Fury, head of SHIELD, has been neck deep in nearly every dangerous situation in the Marvel Universe. With the world's information at his disposal, Fury rarely makes a bad decision and inspires complete confidence from nearly everybody he meets.

#7 - Mr. Fantastic
The world's foremost science expert, many other heroes consult Reed Richards during a crisis. Reed has has kept his family and his team together for decades, utilizing his even temper and his vast knowledge.

#6 - Hawkeye
Once the brash Avenger, Hawkeye eventually became the inspirational leader of Thunderbolts. Under Steve Rogers' tutelage, Hawkeye truly became a great leader. He makes all of his members think of his as a true, close friend and somebody they can trust with anything.

#5 - Cyclops
Though Scott Summers doesn't always see eye to eye with his teammates, they believe in him. On the field, there's no better person to lead the X-Men than Cyclops and every member knows it.

#4 - Professor X
Charles Xavier single handedly developed an entire legion of people to fight for his dream as if it were their own. Though Xavier rarely finds himself on the field, as an ambassador for mutants and peace there is none better.

#3 - Batman
Despite being viewed as a crazed loner by many other superheroes, Batman commands respect for one single reason: He is likely the smartest human being alive. Everybody realizes this and would blindly follow him, knowing that Bruce Wayne always plans hundreds of steps ahead.

#2 - Superman
Superman is a hero that nearly every DC character can rally around, having a vast amount of power and the charisma to inspire people. In comics, he's considered the original super hero and as such is considered to be one of the best leaders out of respect.

#1 - Captain America
Steve Rogers is and will always be the greatest leader in the history of comics. Despite being human, he leads Gods into battle. People all over the universe are in awe of his ability to inspire and lead. His infinite supply of willpower and courageousness are something no other super hero can equal, and something that demands the respect of all who witness it.
