Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States, so there's always something to do there. Home to a whole array of different celebrities, musicians, movie stars and more, the city captures the heart of the American dream. the climate is usually always warm, and there are many sandy white beaches to cool down at.
San Francisco, California. Victorian houses line the hillside streets of San Fransisco, they overlook a huge bay surrounded by mountains, so the scenery is just amazing. Although there are no beaches here, the visuals more than make up for it. Home of the Golden Gate bridge, and historic cable cars, San Fransisco makes for one of the better spots in California.
Orlando, Florida If your planning a trip with the whole family, this is the place for you. Orlando has more entertainment for the whole family than anywhere else in the world. Home to Universal Studios, Disney World, Sea World, Discovery Cove, and Wet and Wild, your sure to find something the whole family will enjoy. Orlando also has its fair share of tropical beaches.
Las Vegas, Nevada. Don't let all the media scare you away from what is depicted as a den of sin. Las Vegas is just simply one of the coolest places to be in the world. Pyramids of glass, replicas of the Eiffel Tower, and countless other spectacles of grandiose architecture make just driving through Las Vegas fun. There are obviously countless casinos, but Las Vegas is also near other natural scenic areas such as Death Valley, and the Grand Canyon Zion.
New York City You cant live in America and not, at some point, visit the Big Apple, it's just not excusable. Famous for the Statue of Liberty, Union Nations, museums, the Empire State Building, Broadway theaters, Times Square, Central Park, art galleries, concert halls, nightclubs and their huge array of shopping, you down right have to go at some time in your life.
Hawaii Although this one is not in the continental United States, and therefore may be to expensive for some people, i think it needs to be mentioned. Hawaii is the closest thing to paradise that you will find in the United States. The scenery is just amazing and the beaches and tropical environment will have you relaxed in no time.
Grand Canyon, Arizona The Grand Canyon is about 4921 feet deep, 12 and a half miles wide, and 93 miles long. The canyon is a must see for any nature or outdoors buff.
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming If you liked the Grand Canyon, Head over to Yellowstone National Park. A huge collection of hot springs, geysers, and thermal phenomena once again make for an exciting trip for the nature and outdoors buff
Washington, D.C. I think its safe to say everyone should plan a trip here simply on the basis that it is the capitol of America. Not to say that there isn't any other reason to go. There are plenty of museums, monuments, public parks and government buildings to keep you entertained. Most of these places are free of charge so its a cheap vacation.
New Orleans, Louisiana If you like Jazz music, you have to make a stop in New Orleans. The only reason i placed it so low on the list is Jazz doesn't appeal to everyone, and unless you visit during Mardi Gras, there's really not that much of a reason to go there. Don't get me wrong. they do have a good nightlife and great cuisine, but you can get that almost anywhere.
