9. My Name is Earl airs Thursdays on NBC. I love Jason Lee and love him in Kevin Smith's movies. I think the show is original and funny and all of the actors are just terrific. This is one way to bring "Must See TV" back to NBC.
8. How I Met Your Mother is on Mondays on CBS. In its second season, I still like it as much as I did last year. I love the characters, although Barney is my favorite! And I can't wait to see when Marshall is going to slap him next! :)
7. Two and a Half Men is also on Mondays on CBS. It took me a little longer to get into this one, for some reason I never watched it before, but now I think it is one of the funniest sitcoms on TV. I love to sit down with a glass of wine or a beer and watch it, and just laugh and laugh.
6. The Office is another "Must See TV" event on NBC Thursday nights. Steve Carell is just hilarious and I love the sexual tension between Pam and Jim!
5. America's Next Top Model... okay, this is my ultimate guilty pleasure! I watch ANTM religiously; I love to hate Melrose, and to see what Caridee is going to do next!
4. Grey's Anatomy is in its third season on ABC, now on Thursdays. I still love the show, although Meredith and McDreamy annoy me now. McSteamy on the other hand is a great addition and that little tease between Addison and Karev makes me excited for the upcoming episodes. It still has all of the things I loved about it from the beginning and it keeps me in (most) of the characters and what happens to them.
3. Top Chef is on Bravo on Wednesday nights, and it is one of my favorite new finds. I had never heard of it before, although this is it's second season, but luckily I caught a preview right before it started, so I have seen it since the beginning this season. I want to be a Chef, so I love to watch them tackle the challenges, while at the same time wondering how they can make such wonderful dishes out of the ingredients. I love reality competition shows, and for me, this is the best one of all!
2. Men in Trees is my favorite new show this season, and it is moving to Thursdays on ABC this week, after Grey's Anatomy. I am so worried that not enough people are watching and it will be cancelled. Hopefully this move will save it. I am not even a fan of Anne Heche, but I have loved this show from the first episode. I love the setting of small town Alaska, and the characters are so wonderfully real and rich. I love this show!
1. House, it my choice for first place, airing Tuesdays on FOX. What is not to love with Hugh Laurie playing the rudest doctor, make that person, on earth? He is hilariously blunt, yet gives you glimpses of the feelings he has for those that matter to him, Wilson, Cuddy, and occasionally his team. It is funny, serious, and sexy, everything you could ask for in a TV show! The best show, with the best cast, on TV today!
Honorable Mentions... Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, Rockstar and Big Love. Nip/Tuck is on right now, but the others are between seasons right now. All of them are smart and fun shows, which differ from most programming on today!
