The Top Ten Sitcom Weddings We Hope to See This Season

Brenda Scott
There are so many great sitcoms out there but as I thought about some of my weekly favorites, I asked myself, "Who do I find myself rooting for week after week. I've picked my top sitcom tv weddings this season.

Let's begin with "Gary Unmarried" about a divorced guy, Gary Brooks, who gets his own place and his children every other weekend. He has this volatile relationship with his ex-wife Allison that lands him in hot water every week. He's got the personality of a large child and she's the all-to-serious adult in the relationship. The two of them are hysterical together and I'd love to see them remarry.

Sheldon and Penny of "The Big Bang Theory" are the most unlikely couple to ever couple and about as opposite as two people can get. She is the beautiful, not so bright waitress, he's the geeky, brainiac that's about as romantic as a wet sock. I'd love to see them get together and eventually get married.

"My Boys" P.J. Franklin and Brendan Dorff should finally get together. They've been flirting with each since college. Enough already! How many more wrong choices can they both make before they see what's standing right in front of them!

Who doesn't find the relationship between Alan Harper and his ex-wife Judith, in "Two and a Half Men," some of the funniest comedy around? I think these two should remarry just so we can see them spar each week. For what is a marriage if not to make your significant other feel small and insignificant!

The first season of "How I Met Your Mother" coupled Ted Mosby and Victoria, a woman he met at a wedding. I loved the addition of Ashley Williams to this close-knit cast of characters and was sad to see her go off to Germany on a fellowship to study cooking. Ted wanders around New York City continually looking for Mrs. Right. Ted, you found her! Bring her back and marry her!

Season five of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" brought Matthew and Barb together again. Apparently they coupled once, years earlier, and never told Christine about it. With Barb's sarcastic sense of humor, and Matthew's dry wit, I think a marriage between the two is inevitable. Plus, how often can you say I married both my best friend and her brother!

Betty Suarez of "Ugly Betty" has been matched with Henry the accountant and Gino the sandwich guy to name but a few. However, since season one, Daniel has leaned on Betty for moral support and advise. Isn't it time these two finally realize that they belong together. Get married already!! And when are those braces finally coming off!

This is the last season of "Monk" and we'll miss him terribly. However, since Sharona is coming back for one final episode, why not join the two of them in holy matrimony. When Sharona Flemming worked as Adrian Monk's nurse, they bickered like an old, married couple anyway. I think Natalie would agree to stand up as Sharona's made-of-honor.

"Royal Pains" has quickly become one of my all-time favorite shows. It just completed its' first season and the tension between Evan R. Lawson, CFO and Divya Katdare has gone from disdain for one another to a quasi-respectable friendship. It looks like the writers may be gearing us up for a romance between these two unlikely characters. Why not switch grooms Divya?

Rachel Leigh Cook is a welcome addition to the cast of "Psych." Though last weeks episode had Shawn saving Jules' life and telling his high school sweetheart, Abigail, that it was no random act, I'd like to see Shawn end up with Abigail. I like the interaction between Shawn and Jules but as coworkers. Abigail and Shawn are a much better match. Shawn, what are you waiting for? She's already met your dad!

There you have it, my choices for the top sitcom show weddings I'd like to see this season.
