# 10 - Omega Red
A serial killer who undertook Russia's version of the Super Soldier Serum, Arkady Rossovich was then turned into Omega Red. Besides being absurdly strong, Omega Red secretes a pheromone that gradually kills all life forms around him. He must absorb life energy through the coil mounted onto his forearms to continue his existence.
# 9 - Pyro
St. John Allerdyce is an Australian mutant with the power to control fire. He was simply another mutant in the world until Mystique convinced him to use his powers for evil. Pyro's Achilles heel, however, is that he cannot create fire. He can only control it. As such he has flamethrowers mounted onto his forearms.
# 8 - Sebastian Shaw
The leader of the Hellfire Club, whom routinely annoys the X-Men and plays a vital role in the Dark Phoenix saga. Shaw can absorb any kinetic energy that comes into contact with his body. This makes him virtually indestructible and nearly impossible to defeat.
# 7 - Toad
Mortimer Toynbee was simply a troubled youth when Magneto took him in. Toad was originally just a mutant with a long tongue, but retcons over the years have made him a much more interesting character. His abilities include leaping long distances, having superhumanly strong legs, a tongue with increased length and strength, and telepathic communication with frogs.
# 6 - The Blob
Fred Dukes are a former member of the Circus who was eventually sought out by Magneto. His increased mass gives him off the charts strength and durability, though his face is still weak as it does not have the blubber the rest of his body has. He is nearly impossible to move once he's rooted himself in one spot, and only the strongest Marvel characters have ever been able to nudge him after he's done this.
# 5 - Mystique
Everybody's favorite shape shifter in the X-Universe is Mystique, one of the most underrated threats the X-Men ever had. Though she's manipulated both sides at one point or another, Mystique has always been evil at her core. Her shape shifting powers are nearly limitless, and she also possesses a healing factor.
# 4 - Apocalypse
En Sabah Nur was the being who would become Apocalypse, but that was a long time ago. Obsessed with the idea of survival of the fittest, Apocalypse remains one of the deadliest threats the X-Men have ever faced. His powers are nearly omnipotent, and there isn't much he hasn't been able to do over the years. Seemingly always down but never out, Apocalypse is always a force to be reckoned with.
# 3 - Juggernaut
Cain Marko, the half brother of Charles Xavier, has always been a thorn in the X-Men's side. Possessing unheard of levels of the strength, stamina, and durability makes Juggernaut one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. Most notably, Juggernaut is unstoppable once in motion.
# 2 - The Sentinels
These mutant hunting robots are extremely iconic and have been around forever. Their powers grow as technology grows, and they have been considered a threat to humankind and not just mutants. Their ability to constantly improve and their iconic appearance give the Sentinels the #2 spot.
# 1 - Magneto
The arch nemesis of the X-Men is and will always be Magneto. Erik Magnus Lehnsherr survived World War 2 but never recovered from the horrors and has since harbored a deep hatred for the human race. He has held his own personal vendetta against the humankind since. His powers make him a fearsome foe for all who dare to confront him. Possessing a complete and total mastery of magnetism along with being a genius makes Magneto the #1 X-Men villain of all time.
That's all for our top ten X-Men villains. A Magneto Origins movie may be in the works soon. Let's hope it isn't as bad as the Wolverine movie!
