The list below details each club, it's attributes, and what makes it unique.
The Cellblock Dance Club
The Cellblock Dance Club is a two level nightclub located on the busy intersection of 12th and State streets in downtown Erie. It features a large outdoor patio and has specials every night of the week. The club alternates DJs on the weekdays and offers two DJs on the weekends. DJ Firedrill blasts the tunes on the upper floor while DJ Brian Roach cranking' up the volume on the lower floor. During the summer block parties are held at various nightclubs throughout Erie and the road in front of the establishment is closed down for the party. The Cellblock attracts some of the biggest crowds for these events, which are free and typically feature outside acts.
Specialty: The Cellblock is mainly a dance club, although it has the ability to attract some larger musical acts. It is known particularly for its DJs and music selection as well as the stereotypical club atmosphere.
Peccadillo's
Peccadillo's is essentially three nightclubs in one. The main floor of peccadillo's is much like The Cellblock, offering a large dance floor and a body shaking sound system. Also on the main floor is a light show and a multi level dancing floor.
If sports are your thing, check out the attached Woody's Sports Bar. Known as downtown Erie's premiere sports bar, Woody's include 15 televisions carry various sporting events, pool tables, and darts as well as other forms of entertainment to keep the sports enthusiast entertained.
For a country themed nightlife experience, head downstairs to the newest member of the Peccadillo's family, Outlaws. Outlaws showcases the décor and sounds country fans have grown to love. Outlaws presents both live acts and DJs for attendees to get their Boot Scootin' Boogie on. All of the bars at Peccadillo's are located conveniently at 14 East 10th Street in downtown Erie, just a short distance from many other local hot spots.
Specialty: Peccadillo's is the best nightclub for a diverse atmosphere. Three bars are all featured under one roof and each has something unique to offer. This bar is ideal for those who are unsure what they are looking for and offers them several different options throughout the night with out having to go outside.
Sherlock's
Sherlock's is another multiple club establishment featuring two very different experiences. All located at 508 State Street, one bar features live bands while the other side features a typical DJ and dance floor. Park Place Downtown offers a bar, DJ, and a large dance floor while Sherlock's Park Place features a stage and large viewing area for live music acts. Park Place Downtown also incorporates a sports bar feel by featuring multiple TVs as well as pool tables and dartboards. Both bars feature a more extensive menu than the other venues.
Specialty: Sherlock's is known as the live entertainment nightclub. It's two bar system works fantastic is separating different forms of nightlife all the while keeping the two close enough that people can split their time between both. Its menu is broader and it is a bar, which is able to incorporate many different themes under one roof.
Before you have you mind set on a favorite club give them all a try because you never know what the next one may have to offer.

Post a CommentI agree with Shaina wholeheartedly. The Cellblock is a very 'assanine' establishement. If they are that picky, it completely takes the fun out of the nightlife. I hope the other two clubs are not like that in those stagnant ways. I see why the neighborhood bars and pubs remain popular. Avoid The Cellblock if you are not a criminal! This foolish club deserves to be shut down permanently!
