The holiday season is here again, and the whole family wants to see the lights. Nothing else will get you in the holiday spirit quicker than a 50-foot-tall ornamented tree or displays of 100,000 twinkling white lights. Here are the top three locations in Jersey city New Jersey for holiday light displays as well as some events and light displays in New York City.

1-Holiday Festival of Lights- The Premier of the Holiday Festival of Lights holds a kick-off celebration featuring the initial lighting of over 100,000 lights illuminating 4.5 acres. Guests can enjoy numerous animated light sculptures and enchanted indoor winter wonderland. The kick-off celebration occurs at 5:30pm on November 24, 2007 and is open till 8pm on this first night. The festival of lights will remain open from November 30 to December 1, 2007 and each Friday and Saturday in December. The festival will feature Santa Claus as a permanent feature and guests can enjoy the Plaza de Aibonito. Camden Children's Garden as part of the Festival of lights will host a wide array of children's events and entertainment including: craft making, storybook reading, decorating contest, and the arrival of Santa Claus. The children's events will be from 11am to 4pm on November 24, 2007.

2- Holiday Light Spectacular at Garden State Parkway- Displays many candlelit cr�ches, electrified avenues of lights, animatronics displays, countless Christmas trees and icicle lights.

3- Under the Stars at Columbus Circle- Come enjoy the star spectacular in the 150 foot Tall Great Room at the entrance of the Time Warner Center. The great hall will be filled with a dozen of dangling 14 foot stars filled with over 1800 LEDS lights that change colors and reflect the front window making it seem like there are twice as many stars.

4-Holiday Laser Light Show- features a series of 6 different 3-D lighting shows, each show is reflected onto the ceiling of Grand Central Station's main concourse every hour and half hour. The reflected 3-D Scenes include winter and New York Scenes.

Location: Grand Central Terminal, 42nd St at Park Avenue, Manhattan (about 15 minutes east of Jersey City)

5- Empire State Building Holiday Lights- Green and red lights illuminate the tower from November 22nd through January 8th. The tower will be lit up with blue and white lights to mark the first night of Chanukah from December 27th through December 29th.

Location: Empire State Building, 5th avenue at 34th Street. (About 20 minutes east of Jersey City)
