Some people live by thrift store shopping. Come visit Bremerton, Washington to whet your frugal appetite. Here are some of the best thrift stores in this area:

Goodwill. Everyone is familiar with Goodwill Industries. They are known for their thrift stores and rehabilitation classes. I like shopping here since the proceeds support their job training and education programs. Located on Wheaton Way, this store usually has a nice variety of items to choose from.

The street signage is good, but the parking is limited. The interior is standard Goodwill thrift store. This facility also has a kitchen for serving meals. They serve traditional Thanksgiving dinners to the homeless, amongst other kitchen uses.

Call Goodwill at 360-479-4013 for more information. Or, toll free at 1-877-448-3446. The physical address is 4209 Wheaton Way, Bremerton.

Value Village is another good thrift shop in Bremerton, Washington. Located down the street a bit from Goodwill, this store is spacious and clean. There is plenty of room to maneuver around in here. It reminds me of a department store, only with better prices.

Everything from clothing, books, bed and bath, and kitchen items are sold here. The prices are usually good. In fact, sometimes they are simply great! I bought a rowing machine here, great condition, for $4! Wait until the 50% off sale for fantastic deals, though. Items are clean, properly labeled and racked or shelved. I have found some items not tagged, though. The staff is very helpful and accommodating when this happens, however.

Call Value Village at 360-479-7998. Or, visit them online at www.valuevillage.com. The physical address is 3449 Wheaton Way, Bremerton.

St. Vincent de Paul of Bremerton is another one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. Proceeds help to support the food bank and other low income programs. There are a variety of items from antique jewelry to mattresses and box springs sold here. Some of the furniture I have seen here looked like new, with fantastic prices.

St. Vinnie's is great around the holidays. They usually have fantastic deals on artificial trees and decorations. Plus, there is a festive atmosphere here.

The exterior signage is on the storefront itself. Sometimes it is hard to see. The interior atmosphere is comfortable and items are usually well-labeled. Plus, they offer a punch card for extra deals. Parking here is limited, though.

Contact St. Vincent de Paul of Bremerton at 360-377-2929 for more information. Their physical address is 1117 N. Callow, Bremerton, Washington.

Thrift store shopping in Bremerton, Washington can be a fun-filled and frugal way to spend the day while visiting the northwest.

    Hello everyone,
I will start by saying that i have shopped at the bremerton value village for years and in the past 3 or 4 years the prices here have really skyrocketed! I am one of the most self proclaimed cheap people i know, a quality i appreciate in myself, i also dont only shop at thrift stores, i shop at ross(one of my all time fav stores), and walmart also has decent prices. Today i went to value village for the first time in long time, I now shop at goodwill (VERY GOOD PRICES) and better than it used to be, must be a well kept secret because every time i go there, there is so much to choose from. Today i saw a purse (used at value village) it was priced at $25.oo !!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe my eyes!! 25 dollars for a used purse?? and that wasnt all, everything i looked at was priced far too high for thrift prices, (my god they were stained and such too!) I am NOT happy with these prices, i cant afford department store prices, what can we do about this highway robbery? Its n
