The Top10 Celebrity Partiers of 2009

There was no shortage of parties hosted and attended by celebrities in 2009. Some behaved, some didn't, and a few more cemented their reputations as "Celebrity Partiers".

10. The Kardashians. There is no quit in The Kardashians. Because there are three of them, it seems like they are everywhere. At a given time they may be attending parties concurrently in Miami, L.A., or Las Vegas. They are friends with Joe Francis of "Girls Gone Wild" fame and The Palm's Maloof Brothers. Kim thrives on the attention, Khloe had a DUI, and Kourtney has a baby on the way. If frequent flyer miles were given out for partying, The Kardashians would be Platinum level.

9. Randy Quaid and Wife. Quaid and his wife Evi, were arrested after skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill in September. The couple posted bond, but subsequently missed court dates and word has come out they have skipped out on at least one more hotel, owing that hotel more than $17,000. The Quaids love to party and live the high life, but they don't like to pay for it.

8. Mischa Barton. Mischa was a little more reserved in 2009 than she had been in the past, but she didn't stop her partying ways. She's a little weird, but that is what the press loves about her. She hasn't done anything acting wise for awhile, so she's better known for her partying now than anything else.

7. Britney Spears. Without a doubt, Britney would've ranked higher on this list in past years. Now with Britney resuming her music career she had to cut back on her party hosting gigs. Spears has been paid as much as $250,000 for hosting parties at nightclubs in Las Vegas. She loves hitting the beaches as she did recently in Australia. She loves hanging out and partying at resort pools from Hawaii to Miami. She is currently dating her agent, so that maybe keeping her grounded a bit. But stories of her partying while on tour and off are legendary.

6. Kristin Cavallari. If there is a party or premiere in the Hollywood area you can bet your last dollar Kristin Cavallari will be there. Sometimes hitting multiple events in one night. She started her partying ways while inn high school and has not let up. Now she can been seen on MTV's The Hills, and in bars and nightclubs around the country.

5. AnnaLynne McCord. Let's give AnnaLynne the Rookie of the Year award. She's relatively new to the Hollywood party scene, but she has taken to it like an old pro. She's currently on 90210, and she loves the attention it generates for her. She's been partying this year with Jon Gosselin in Las Vegas and she usually heads out with a pack of girlfriends all over L.A.

4. Michael Phelps. It was quite a scandal, when in early 2009 a photo of Phelps using a bong at a college party was published. Phelps called the behavior "regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment". Phelps was suspended from swimming for three months. Stories started coming out of the Olympic swimmer being a serial partier since his Olympic training had stopped. Phelps frequented parties from Las Vegas to Baltimore to the college town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The swimmer now states he back in training for future swimming meets and then the next Olympics.

3. Paris Hilton. Once the undisputed queen of the party scene. This socialite may have lost a little of her steam, but don't tell that to party organizers. Now, with numerous complaints of noisy parties, fighting and general loudness at her mansion, the LAPD has told her to cut it out. Paris appears to spend much more time in Europe these days. Is it because she has dated every man in North America? Anywhere there is a big party, expect to see Paris.

2. Jon Gosselin. From America's favorite Dad to loser. The media has a field day following the exploits of Jon. Is it his string of skanky girlfriends, or his hanging out with Michael Lohan and Rabbi Shmuley? Now with lawsuits brewing, Jon may temper his partying a bit, but he had enough credits built up from partying early this year to make #2 on this list. To look more mature he has even given up wearing his Ed Hardy clothes. For 2009, he leaves a wake of partying and women from Las Vegas to Europe.

1. Lindsay Lohan. Would you expect anyone else at #1. Lindsay is now better known for her partying than anything else. In short, she is a train wreck. Some say it is a cry for help. The facts are that even being on probation hasn't kept her out of the bars. She's been to rehab and back, and he constant feuds with her Dad make all the entertainment shows. She regularly misses her alcohol education classes, but does extra credit by drinking all night following court appearances. Recent pictures show a woman in distress, she looks bad and she needs to change her ways in 2010 to salvage any type of career and maybe her life.

So there it is, 2009 in a nutshell. It was a busy year for the tabloids, and it looks like it will keep up well into 2010.
