The Toshiba Portege M700 Tablet PC Review

The Toshiba Portege M700 Tablet PC is a great PC that is extremely fast. It is a laptop and tablet hybrid, meaning that you can turn it into a tablet PC by flipping the screen over the keyboard. With a 2.2 Ghz Core Duo Processor and 2 GB of RAM it is an absolute screamer and will handle even the heaviest of computing duties. The 12.1 LCD display is beautiful and the resolution is1280x800. It comes with a DVD super drive meaning it can burn DVDs and a wireless card already installed as well. These features have become the standard in laptops these days. The shock absorbing design means that it can take a few hits and a few drops and still be operational.

It has an integrated web cam and a fingerprint reader. Fingerprint readers are great security features for your laptop and keep unwanted people from getting valuable information on your laptop. The battery on one of these M700 tablets last over 5 hours which is excellent for a laptop. It comes installed with Windows Vista for business, which is great for people in a professional atmosphere.

It weighs in a 4.7 pounds which is a little heavy for a computer of its size but it certainly doesn't feel that heavy to me at least. You can take out the DVD drive and then that will make the computer feel a little lighter. So if you don't need the DVD drive, why carry around that extra weight? The touchscreen on this is very on point and easy to use. It is very accurate and seems like it knows what you mean to push.

The Toshiba Protege M700 Tablet PC also has a pen, which means you can write regularly on the tablet screen or you can use the pen to point and click on things like a stylus. The Toshiba M700 does not run particularly hot. It isn't all that bad to carry around either, I find it one of the most portable tablet laptop combinations I have ever used.

In conclusion the Toshiba Protege M700 Tablet PC is a great and fact tablet that has a beautiful 12.1 LCD touch screen. It comes with a DVD drive and weighs just 4.7 pounds. It is a little heavy, but not over burdening. The battery last over 5 hours and it comes installed with Windows Vista. Toshiba has certainly been making a name for themselves in the tablet, laptop and PC world lately haven't they. The M700 is yet another score for Toshiba.
