"The Tourist" Movie Release

The movie release party of "The Tourist" with Angelina Jolie and Johhny Depp was quite an event to be at. The movie release took place at the Century Rio 24 movie theater. The release party was really just a movie premiere but if you are a fan of these two then it was a party. the main thing was the fact that Angelina Jolie and Johhny Depp in one movie is like having your cake and eating it too. It was going to be great for sure.

The movie started at 7:30 PM on December 9, 2010. My movie group was pumped to be there and most of us arrived around 5 PM to wait in line. You had to first of all have a pass, which were limited in number and you also had to be there in line. Only so many people were actually allowed into the movie. So my group knew that we had to get there early to see it.

Most of us chatted and enjoyed people watching as the time passed. The biggest thing was the fact that these events will not allow you to have your cell phone present at the theater. If you are waiting in line and somebody is coming late then you can imagine the chaos. Once we all arrived and everyone was accounted for the group began to chat and have some fun. All of us are fans of at least one of the stars. Myself and several others are fans of both Angelina Jolie and Johhny Depp.

We all took turns getting our popcorn and drinks with snacks. Bathroom breaks were frequent. We knew that once inside the movie you are not allowed to leave. So, all of us were taking turns. It was really funny. As the time flew by we discussed the two actors and our favorite movies for each of them. We argued a bit over this being the first movie that the two of these actors have done together. It was funny.

As the line began to move we inched towards the entrance. They scanned our movie passes and checked us out for cell phones and recording devices. Apparently this is a big issue with these movie release parties. Nobody had any problems though and even with my metal plate in my arm; all of us got through without any hassle. We did all joke about me becoming the "bionic woman though". (It's a personal joke between my friends and I).

Once inside we all got to our seats relatively easy. Except for one personal issue that threatened to ruin the night, we all sat and prepared to enjoy the movie release. All of us were looking forward to Angelina and Johhny Depp in one movie. The person holding the party started to chat us up as the lights blinked so we would all quiet down. It was funny that even as adults all of us still act like we did in high school.

The host told us all of the rules about "taking the rights to our firstborn" if we dared to break any of the rules. We all laughed and the movie started. "The Tourist" really was a very good movie. It had just enough intrigue to keep you guessing without being so overbearing that you loose interest.

The movie ended and we all started to file out of the movie theater. The group chatted a bit about our thoughts on the movie release. All of us agreed that this was a very good movie. Some commented on how the story was predictable. Most of us though agreed that it had just enough "what if"? to keep us enthralled. All of us agreed that the movie release party was well worth the time we invested. We agreed to do this kind of thing again.

"The Tourist" the movie was a great experience. This movie release party was fun and rewarding for all of us that attended from the movie group. The plot was romantic and intriguing while maintaining a mysterious theme. It is well worth your time.
