Welcome Pack
English Heritage members receive many benefits for joining such as a comprehensive welcome pack. This pack includes a useful English Heritage handbook full of photographs of the historic buildings and attractions that can be seen if you are a member.
Six Accompanying Children (under 19) can enter for free
If members wish to take up to 6 accompanying children under the age of 19 with them then they will be entitled to receive free entry for their non-English Heritage guests. Members also receive a quarterly edition of Heritage Today that can keep members up to date with what is going on across the country.
Free or Reduced Rate Entry to Events
Members can receive free or greatly reduced rates to events. This can really help to stretch a budget and help English Heritage members see a lot more than they would normally be inclined to due to the high cost of entry to some attractions.
Explore Beyond England
English Heritage members can visit historic buildings throughout Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man for half the price of the listed entry price for non-English Heritage members. After the first year of English Heritage membership, members can then enjoy free entry to historic buildings in Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man.
Special Activities not available for the General Public
As well as enjoying unique privileges of free and reduced rate entry to historic buildings, English Heritage members can also take part in specially arranged activities put on by English Heritage such as lectures and behind-the-scenes tours that are not always available to the general public. These activities can help members to gain a deeper insight into properties and learn much more about their history and design.
Over 400 Attractions in England Alone!
Becoming an English Heritage member can open up many doors of opportunity for people who are passionate about visiting historical buildings throughout Britain. Members do not just have the opportunity to visit a small handful of attractions throughout the country. Members have 400 different locations to choose from in England alone, as well as many others to explore in other parts of the UK! English Heritage membership helps to pay for itself if you make it a point to visit as many attractions as you can. Membership also helps to finance the conservation of historical buildings so that future generations can enjoy the wonders of the UK's rich, historical heritage.
