The True Reason for the Season

A Different Look at Christmas

Joey Liam
Many people had forgotten
The real reason for the season
All they could think about
Are their presents and some Bourbon

Look around you
What do you see?
Bright lights, glittering stockings
Hanging on a Christmas tree

Do you feel the love
Of the living Savior?
No, am not talking about
The little boy in the manger

The Lord is no longer a child
He had outgrown our childish imagination
He is now the Lord of lords and King of kings
Over all of us, He has dominion

It is time to celebrate
Not His birth but His resurrection
For He had sacrificed His life
Just for our salvation

Let us always think about Him
Hold Him dearly in our hearts
Just like the everlasting love
That to all us, He imparts

He is the true reason for the season
So daily let us celebrate
Let us all love one another
And stop all bickering and hate

He is coming soon to redeem us
And take us to His paradise
Therefore let us be vigilant
Do not give in to pride and lies

Our Lord, our God
Our Savior Dear
For You, we do wait patiently
And trust that Your return is near

Amen Joey, The greatest gift this or any season is from the Father (Jon 3:16) and can not ever be lost or stolen or broken (Joh 10:28-29)! : - )
