The Truth Behind Mucoid Plaque

Many people suffer from bouts of constipation or they use colon cleanse remedies to effectively clean out their colons to keep them working efficiently. You may have heard the term "mucoid plaque" and your interested in learning how to clean your colon of these terrible product of the intestines. The truth is that mucoid plaque is a myth of many of the companies trying to sell colon cleanings products.

A breakdown of the products would revile a few key ingredients which are psyllium and bentonite. This mucoid plaque is created due to these two ingredients in the colon cleanse products. Psyllium creates something like a mucilage polymer which mixed with the bentonite acts like a cast maker which makes a cast of the intestines. When these two ingredients combine you end up with what these companies are calling the mucoid plaque.

Most of these companies want you to believe that this mucus will trap harmful bacteria's and toxins. The body is full of mucus as its normal process to keeping surfaces moist. These companies make claims of healthy verses unhealthy mucus. While there unhealthy mucus, such as when one have an upper respiratory infection and coughs up discolored mucus. This mucoid plaque is claimed to be compated mucous that has become dry.

Some of these companies will even have you believe that mucous forming foods will cause the mucoid plaque. Some will even claim that after this mucoid plaque is removed the body will be able to function more efficiently as toxins and parasites will a harder time surviving in the intestinal tract. If you are having problems related to the gastric tract is important that you talk to your health care provider prior to using products that claim to cure everything.

Before trying products that use fancy terms such as "mucoid plaque" do a little research. If you cannot find these terms on legitimate health related resources they are mostly made up terms by the creator of the products.
