The Truth Hurts - Astrology of Transiting Planets in Sagittarius

Tips on How to Handle Too Much Candor

Astrology - With three planets in fiery Sagittarius, overly candid words are like scorching arrows. Mars in a fire sign exacerbates the impulse to say too much because of the overall impulsive energy pattern.

Ancient astrology once described Sagittarius as a dualistic sign. The half horse, half human sporting the bow and arrow is pithy symbolism. With several planets transiting Sagittarius at this time - look out!

One may become the recipient of brutally frank communication. Or, through lack of control, a person may find him or herself spewing out tactless, hurtful remarks.

During the happy holiday season, the astrology picture has good points and bad. Crafty handling of the surrounding madcap environment is the answer to avoiding the pitfalls.

Use the truth sparingly

Speaking truth always carries some kind of a consequence. Unwanted results happen when antagonizing a would-be enemy. Always choose battles carefully.

Exercise tactfulness

Truth may also be couched in diplomatic terms. Usually, this requires forethought.

Side step clumsy remarks

The fiery nature of Sagittarius is both candid and impetuous. Granted, the truth often hurts. Encountering tactless remarks is only part of the current astrological energy. And this too shall pass.

Without practicing restraint in the midst of the transiting Sagittarian astrology, impulsive actions may produce unwanted situations. It's much better to have friends than enemies.

Consider the source

Maturity weighs heavily within the perspective of any interchange. Very young children won't have the vocabulary to exercise the use of diplomacy.

In considering brash remarks from adults, question any impulses to reciprocate and how to do so. In the first place, do you really care what this person thinks?

When experiencing an unpleasant encounter, what is accomplished by reacting in kind? How far does communication go with angry remarks shooting back and forth?

After taking this pause to investigate motivations and impulses, one truth will usually surface. How did that remark make you feel? For example: Your remark made me angry, resentful, hurt, nervous, uncomfortable, etc.

If you speak the truth concerning what you feel, nobody can say it's wrong.

Mercury will be transiting in and out of Sagittarius until mid February. Retrograde transits will also affect the astrology forecast during this period. Retrograde periods involve misunderstandings, and communication sometimes getting lost altogether.

This week, Venus enters the astrological picture which will help soften the element of extreme candor. Handling astrology transits with the right perspective will go a long way, especially during the holidays.
