The Turkey

Shirley A Mandel
With plumage

puffed up,

Lucifer strutted

his stuff before God.

Then he

stamped his feet

to call the other angels away.

So God

cast him

into empty space

between the stars and land;

now Satan

does his mating dance

for man.
