The Tushee Review

The new As Seen On TV product called The Tushee is really catching on and I'm here to throw my two cents in about this thing. When I first heard about it I thought it was brilliant for its name alone but I had no idea what it could possibly be. My imagination went wild as I'm sure yours might be right now. But trust me it's not as exciting as you think.

The Tushee is nothing more than a fancy seat cover. It's actually a pretty useful product and I'm surprised how much I like it, but I was hoping for something more outrageous when I heard about the name. Regardless, it was something that I couldn't wait to get my hands on just for the silly factor alone. It's fun to tell people you have a new tushee and that's what I think the marketing brain trust behind this one is banking on.

Having said all that, I really like this stupid thing. At first I wasn't sure what I would use it for but now it's something that I use often. It's like the beach towel that does everything you wish a real beach towel could do. The idea is that whenever you need to sit on a surface that's hot, cold, damp, dusty or dirty you place the tushee over it and your sitting comfortably fully protected from whatever.

The whole seat cover idea really never occurred to me but that's the As Seen On TV people doing what they do best. My contention has always been that these clowns somehow point out little problems in our daily lives that most of us don't even realize we have and then provide a very simple solution for this so called "problem". So when I first thought about this idea I thought that these guys just reminded me to throw a towel down before I sat on a dirty surface.

But, The Tushee really is superior to anything that we can tote along with us when we're on the go and here's why. This particular item will actually form fit to whatever you place it and stay in place. It wasn't easy for me to get the hang of folding and securing it but now I have it down to a science. I do regret getting the larger size meant for lounging because I'm mainly using it to cover a regular chair outside while I read. Let's face it there are plenty of occasions when we all wish we had something between us and a some gross seat somewhere.

But, I'm not one that would be taking this around on planes, movies, beaches, parks and whatever else you can use it for but I see the appeal for lots of other people. I think this will be a huge seller because of silly name and the fact that it's basically a snuggie for your rear, and people love those snuggies.
