The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack
Music is an important part to any movie. It sets the mood for the audience and helps convey the emotion meant for a particular scene. It's what makes your hair stand on end, gives you chills and causes your eyes to tear up. Music can make or break a film.

By now, most fans have at least heard about Meet Me On the Equinox by Death Cab for Cutie. There's been talk of them doing a music video featuring the New Moon stars. While it's not my favorite song I think it fits the mood of New Moon very well. I'm curious to see where in the movie that song is featured.
It is nice to see the return of Muse with their song I Belong To You. Remixed specifically for New Moon, it's got a unique beat. I could see this played when Bella goes to Italy to save Edward. Or perhaps after they've already had their reunion.
My favorite song on this soundtrack is actually the instrumental by Alexandre Desplat. It is an emotional song though it's hard to describe the exact feelings evoked. I think this song would be great for weaving throughout the film like Bella's Lullaby did in Twilight.
Overall I'd say the music selections are fair. When you take apart the songs and look at the lyrics it's easy to see why certain songs were picked. Sometimes lyrics just aren't enough though. I don't think I will be purchasing the New Moon Soundtrack. However, with that said I'll be interested to see how these songs play out when combined with the film.
