The Two Best and Worst Celebrity Dog Owners

Perez Hilton: Perez Hilton may be known for his controversial blog, but I think everyone can agree that this man loves his dog. His dog Teddy was constantly posted about after Hilton first took in the dog, and ever since there has been frequent reminders of how much he loves his precious Teddy. Hilton has posted videos of his dog playing, and even posted a photo of their reunion after a trip overseas. Hilton treats his dog like part of the family, and has no point acted as though his dog was just another celebrity. He also has made many suggestions to readers of his blog to donate to charitable causes that help animals, and many people also seem to recall his support of animal adoptions. If only more celebrities would follow in his lead and learn to not just spoil their dogs with toys and treats, but also with love.

Oprah: Oprah constantly reminded us just how much she loved her beloved Cocker Spaniels, Sophie and Solomon. As well as her Golden Retrievers named Luke, Layla and Gracie. Sadly, in recent years two have her dogs passed away, and it was clear to all of us, just how devastated she was by this. Since then she's added another cocker Spaniel named Sadie. Oprah not only adopted these animals, she also constantly helps to encourage the adoption of animals, and is also a strong supporter of animal rights. It's always great to know that some celebrities really do use their powers for good.

Paris Hilton: I'm convinced that it was Paris Hilton that made this society begin to look at dogs as mere accessories. She often poses with her poor little pups tucked into a designer bag, and even keeps her dogs stored in what appears to be a scaled down version of her own home. Her animals are simply over accessorized pets to her. She constantly takes in more and more dogs, and seems to replace her past favorites with a former one. She clearly plays favorites, and even her dogs can't compete with her love of the moment with whatever type of animal she has decided to take in. Whether it be a ferret, or a monkey, there seems to be no end for Paris Hilton. She's the perfect example of someone who seems to believe in flashing around her money, instead of offering love. If only she'd realize animals need that just as much as kids do. The worst part of all, is how she seems to think that having so many animals will somehow portray her in a better light. Please Paris, instead of accessorizing with animals to look better, try donating and helping some animals in need instead. Surely, this will help convince us you truly do have a heart.

Britney Spears: Britney Spears seems to be one of those that chose to follow in Paris Hiltons footsteps. She had 3 Chihuahuas, and was always leaving the house with one of them on her arm. She seemed to treat them as interchangeable accessories, much like Paris Hilton. Amazingly enough, once she began having children, all of the dogs seemed to have just completely disappeared. Let's hope she doesn't end up treating her children in the same manner.
