People make resolutions for various reasons but the most popular one is to lose weight. Everyone wants to feel and look better and to feel energized. In the new year, they start on their quest by announcing they will for example lose 50 pounds in one week instead of saying I will lose excess weight over a few months. Make realistic goals otherwise you will give up.
In my there are two main keys to succeed in achieving your resolutions. These are desire and focus. If you want to lose weight, you need to have the desire to do it. You must crave losing weight from deep inside of you. It's no point not having the desire to lose weight because you will soon give up on losing weight. You will begin to miss your exercises because you get lazy and lose interest. You will also not stick with your diet and as a result, you will go back to your bad eating habits. The desire must be there to stick with your exercises and to continue eating healthy food. You need the desire to continue eating healthy food and exercising for the rest of your life.
To achieve your goal of weight loss, you need to focus on the task at hand. Losing weight now needs to be a part of your daily life. Don't lose focus of the big picture which is to lose weight. Also you need to focus short term with your diet and exercise. Don't let life's distractions get in your way. Don't miss your exercise. If you miss the first, you will miss the second and so on until you give up completely. The same principle applies with healthy eating. Focus on keeping up with eating healthy meals. If you lose focus you will skip more healthy meals and at the end you will fail in achieving weight loss.
