The UFO Legacy of Winston Churchill

Newly Declassified Documents Connect British Leader to UFO Cover-Up

UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico like shown in the FOX hit TV show The X-Files apparently isn't only for the common man, or alien buff. Winston Churchill, one of Britain's most respected leaders, has now been connected to UFO phenomenon. Newly released documents from the UK National Archives, relate a tale told by an anonymous source of a conversation between Winston Churchill and American General Dwight Eisenhower. The two discussed how to deal with a UFO sighting made by a RAF bomber plane.

According to the document, "The aircraft was intercepted by an object of unknown origin," it said, "which matched course and speed with the aircraft for a time and then underwent an extremely rapid acceleration away."

The letter further states the writer's grandfather overheard Winston Churchill say, "This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic amongst the general population and destroy one's belief in the Church."

UFO reports, or sightings of flying saucers, have been made worldwide for decades now. In 1947, American Kenneth Arnold was one of the first to come forward in such a public way, that the press actually coined the term 'flying saucer' from his sighting of flying craft that he could not identify.

Despite a popular, or more leaning comic notion that only 'fringe' people see or report UFOs, world figures as respected and powerful as American Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan have publicly revealed their own UFO sightings. Presidential hopeful and Ohio Democratic Rep Dennis Kucinich also admitted to seeing a UFO. Now it appears we can add British leader Winston Churchill to the list of famous people who've seen or have a connection to UFOs.

It would be more than helpful if legitimate American sources, or authentic government historic documents could corroborate Dwight Eisenhower's involvement in this UFO incident with Winston Churchill. Until then, it seems we have more reason to believe that UFO's weren't just of a passing interest or looked down upon as something trivial by Earth's most powerful leaders.

Missed this when it came out. The comment about public revelation leading to loss of faith in the church is interesting.

It's arrogant to believe in this vast universe we are alone.

The big question is whether UFOs = alien space craft?

I read a lot of the background stuff on this when I was doing the piece on Rendelsham. It seems he and Ike did a lot of evidence hiding in those days.

"It would be more than helpful if legitimate American sources, or authentic government historic documents could corroborate Dwight Eisenhower's involvement in this UFO incident with Winston Churchill." Amen. This isn't even based on any contemporary records as they were destroyed, but to an 11 year old letter sent by someone who recounts hear-say.
