On your way up the steps before heavens gate
You look at your life and realize that you're late
On borrowed time is how you've been living
The minutes and hours to you he's been giving
All the good that you've done in the years that have past
Count on your soul from your life that was vast
The gray in your hair speaks for your age
All the deeds that you've done will now be your gauge
They will determine how you are received
And the thoughts about god that you have believed
Only your sin can weigh your soul down
If there is too much, in fire you'll drown
But if you were righteous in the life that you lead
Through heavens gate is where you will tread
What is your fate when you find yourself here
Do you know you'll be fine, or do you have fear
The consequences that come will forever be so
Live your life how you should so that you will know
