It makes me unique as in my group of friends I am the only girl that notices cars. I even pay more attention to cars than some of my male friends. I like being different though. I am an enthusiast. My weakness... the BMW.
I have been raised with a BMW as the family car for as long as I can remember. My Dad is also a car enthusiast and used to take me along to look at cars constantly when I was young.
BMW to me means luxury, safety, handling and it is exactly what the logo says, the ultimate driving machine. Driving it is an absolute pleasure. It's a solid car and the sound of its engine is distinct to me. When a BMW drives by, I certainly pay attention.
This weakness includes the older style BMW, they just don't go out of style and the models from the late 80's/early 90's still look fabulous, handle beautifully and are probably more solid than their new counterparts. I know this as I have one and while I do want to upgrade to a newer model, I can't bear the thought of giving up my Beemer (yes, I know some enthusiasts dislike this term, but I am not one of them) yet. I am rather attached to my car, I can't help it.
It's not all about luxury and prestige, but about the car itself and the feeling of driving it. BMW has the reputation of designing and producing prestigious but also high quality cars. While some may feel owning a BMW is a statement as to status, to me it is a car that I can enjoy driving and feel safe in, while also being very aesthetically pleasing. There is just something stronger and more appealing about a European made car that other manufacturers can't duplicate.
My point, other than appreciating the BMW, is that girls can also know a thing or two about cars. The BMW is not only reliable and an amazing car to drive, but it's HOT!
