The Ultimate Guide to Neopian Wheels

Nara Rose
An easy and fun way to potentially make a lot of neopoints on Neopets.com is by spinning a wheel. There are six of them on Neopets: Monotony, Mediocrity, Excitement, Slime, Knowledge and Misfortune. Some are better than others, obviously, and some of them take forever but offer great prizes if you're willing to be patient.

The Wheel of Monotony can spin for hours. Literally. It always spins longer than thirty minutes, but this can extend into several hours if you're unlucky. It costs 100 neopoints to play, though most Neopians usually quit after an hour or so of nonstop spinning. Prizes include: 5,000-20,000 neopoints, petpet paintbrush, paintbrush, red codestone, gourmet food, weapon, scroll/poster, beast, lottery ticket, faerie pancakes, volcano, mazzew, or "question mark."

The Wheel of Mediocrity only costs 50 neopoints, but, as the name suggests, the prizes aren't all that great, either. You can win between 10 and 1,000 neopoints, a faerie blessing, or Tyrannian food. If you're unlucky, your Neopets may be attacked and lose their hit points. Doesn't sound very fair, does it?

The Wheel of Excitement is located in Faerieland. It costs 150 neopoints per spin, and you may spin the wheel every two hours. You can win between 100 and 10,000 neopoints, a bottled faerie, a faerie blessing, a healing potion, a magical item, a secret item, or "question mark" (usually a couple neopoints). If you don't win a prize you may: receive a visit from the Pant Devil (in which he steals an item from your inventory), be cursed by the Dark Faerie, watch your pets get sick or struck by lightning, or watch your pets all burn thanks to the Fire Ghoul (sounds gruesome, doesn't it?)

The Wheel of Slime is an advertisement for Nickelodeon, located in the Neopets arcade. You don't have to pay to play and you can win between 100 and 2,000 neopoints.

The Wheel of Knowledge is located in Brightvale. It costs 500 neopoints to play, but it often gives out rather nice prizes, such as: books, Brightvale food, faerie blessings, a shield, another free spin, a random fruit item, a job scroll, a glass window, a scroll, a mote, or, if you land on the "question mark" it will give you a helpful hint. If you're not so lucky, you'll merely receive a few words of wisdom.

The Wheel of Misfortune isn't the greatest way to go about earning more neopoints. The Pant Devil might steal one of your items, you might have an item in your inventory turn to sludge, one of your pets may be hit with a disease, and you may lose neopoints. However, if you're fortunate, you may win a spooky petpet or some neopoints.

There is also a Wheel of Happiness, only available to Neopets Mobile users, located on Lutari Island.
