The Ultimate Politically Correct Holiday Greeting, What Ever Happened to Straight Talk?

I am very tired of politically correct requirements. Even worse is the underlying context requiring us to resist offending anyone by not respecting their political or other beliefs, as if that is my problem.

Frankly I am a big believer of the constitution and our unalienable right to freedom of speech. I know that's old school, but it works for me. I further believe it is my right and privilege and frequently my duty to offend whomever I please.

In fact I am convinced that the politically correct movement is perhaps one of the most dangerous attacks on our society, culture and way of life, confronting us all.

I will maintain my right to be judgmental, opinionated and openly verbal about my beliefs, be them politically correct or not. In fact the more politically incorrect the better I like it, no matter which side of the issue I am on.

Please bring it on, tell me your views, let me hear your opinions, I endorse and support political incorrectness.

I say it is everyone's unalienable right to offend anyone they choose.

With this in mind I reprint below a seasons greeting from a friend which says more about the absurdity of this notion than I could ever say...read and enjoy...we must all remember it is OK to laugh at ourselves.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wish.
