The United War on Terrorism: 2010 Terror Plots '" a World Wide Problem

Alfonso Coley
The recent terror plot to bomb and harm innocent civilians in America, and two other continents is a sobering reminder that all nations whom take a part in combating terrorism will continue to be a target of these fascist groups. Before the terrorist could carry out their plan towards using these bombs in a destructive manner - President Obama was briefed the day before the bombs were found on several cargo jets. It is no secret that al-Qaida has been planning this event for several months, but this time their terror campaign was extinguished - due to many intelligent agencies linking their resources to thwart this recent terror plot.

U.S. resources have confirmed that the main source of the terror plot came from al-Qaida's Yemen branch. President Obama's counter terror chief warned - "The United States is not assuming that the attacks were disrupted and is remaining vigilant," John Brennan said - as this info was directed from the White House the day that the findings were declared a credible threat.

The two packages that were found in Dubai and England contained a volatile mix of explosives; (PETN) that would have meant disaster if the devices could have been detonated. These findings about the bomb materials have not been one hundred percent confirmed by bomb experts.

2010 terror plots are a world wide problem, it is no longer just a concern for the U.S. - it has become a serious threat for every other industrial nation. The extremist U.S.born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki is believed to be the mastermind behind the recent failed terror attacks against the United States.

The timing of these recent terror attacks have become a disturbing trend, and it seems that the terror plots have been increasing during this year alone. Unfortunately - it may only be a matter of time before one of the terror plots strike American soil, but in the meantime - every American needs to compliment the intelligence community for a job well done.
