The Universal Language--A Smile

Jean Davis
Long, long ago man's language became confused.
It was impossible to communicate.
They had gotten so far away from God but they
couldn't foresee their fate.
Through these many years man has progressed.
Grown more intelligent we say.
Then we look around and we think it's really no better today.
Everyone is going on their own separate way, maybe
just trying to survive.
Still, we need to realize it's a great time to be alive.
Now, let's get back to the subject of speech.
If you're not bilingual you're not alone.
No matter what language you encounter there is one thing
you can do to make you feel at home.
Look someone in the face and smile.
The language anyone will understand
Yes, a smile is a universal language easy to interpret
in any land.
