I have shared some of my pieces online with the hope that I will garner those who appreciate what I have to say. However, there are many things I have not posted online. I have written over 150 pieces of poetry and one day hope to have them published in a book. I would never expect to gain a bestseller or a movie adaptation, but the idea of having my work out there, professionally, for all to see is something I one day hope to attain. I did publish one of my pieces of poetry online once, titled We Are Electric. In more than a year it has only received one single view. As discouraging as this may be, I push forward in search of better horizons.
There is a point to the stream of consciousness preceding this paragraph. Writing is a hobby of mine, something I love to do. I have prestigious company in that category, none of which I could ever compete with. However I do hope that one day my name will be out there, just like theirs. I would like to publish books for all to read, even if it is just a single page. If anyone has any advice, or can help me in any way, please leave me a comment. Until then, I will continue to write as I do. Continue to slowly pen, the unpublished dream.
