The U.S. Senate Say's "let Them Eat Cake" to Its Nations Unemployed -- (Ha, and You Thought This was America)

Senators Pull a Marie Antoinette on its unemployed citizens and said loudly, "let them eat cake", I'm going on vacation. The unemployed are obviously some of the laziest people in this country and I can attest to that. I'm sure if they really wanted a job, they could literally have one within ninety-nine weeks. When I went back to college I was employed then through no fault of my own I was let go. I kept on at school that fall of 2006 and when summer came finished my first bumpy year. I then needed to make some money to cushion me for the school year. So I went to Craigslist and sent out my resume for a day or two. I had numerous callbacks and emails. I went to some interviews and took the best offer. Woohoo part-time job number one is secured. $15 an hour, easy laid back, online job! That wasn't it though I got another job offer and took that too. Part-time job number two and getting $8.50 an hour. The money sucks I know but I got to choose my schedule as long as it was within reason. Then job number three at a mom and pop store. No set amount but they where generous with the money in relation to minimal hours. So it came out to about $10-13 an hour for various projects.

See I'm a hard worker but that doesn't seem to matter because I can't even get a call-back and the choices are no longer any good or just non-existent. It's pretty appalling to see Senate go on such a nice extended break, while many of us are suffering at this moment. As you are enjoy your luxurious vacations, tasty food, or relaxing care free at home, there are literally millions of Americans waiting for you to get you heads out your butt and get to work for us. Remember the people who elect you and will vote you out.

Our country is supposed to supply, create and keep jobs here for us. The jobs are no longer here it's pretty bad out here and all you can say is let them eat cake, literally. How decadent of yourselves.

Senator Gregg said we are not working because we're receiving unemployment and that we're [behaving] as if we're a European Nation..."Where they aren't (undecipherable stuttering and muttering) not mobile, they're basically encouraged not to get off the 'government assistance' because the 'government assistance' exceeds what they get in the market place"....He is a stuttering idiot and how dare he call our insurance a 'government assistance', a 'welfare'. They think we don't see that they are trying to shift the blame to us and off them. Where are our jobs? Why have they gotten raises? How much legislation did you block just to try to make yourself look better in preparation for election year? Is this really what we left British Rule for to be left without jobs? I'll make sure to keep reminding the people what you've said to us come election time.
