The Valentine's Love Battle

I can envision a Valentine's evening,
When you would fling the door open,
and embrace me with your loving gaze,
and then you would tell me that you love me,
and then I would tell you I love you more,
and then you would say that you loved me more,
and I would say " no way, I love you more!"
and you would say to me, "Sorry but I love you more!"
and I would shake my head and say "uh uh!"
and you would nod your head and say "uh huh!"
and then I would say "uh uh" again,
and then you would sing "uh huh" with your angelic voice,
and I still would insist that I love you more,
but you would win the "love battle" of I love you's,
With a final chanting of "Uh Huh!"
and I would concede that you were
the winner of the Valentine's love battle,
and I would go directly to your arms for a hug,
because the Valentine's Love Battle was over.
