The Variety and Luxury of Muttaqin Baby Fitted Diapers

Paige Turner
Have you ever described a diaper as luxurious? How about soft and squishy? Then you must not have had the good fortune to get your hands on a Muttaqin Baby diaper, also known as a Mutt. Cloth diaper message boards all over the web are buzzing with raves for this delicious handmade diaper. You may be wondering if Mutts are good enough to pay $20-$35 a piece. You may question having to spend hours on the computer stalking the MuttaqinBaby.com website to score the diaper of your choice. Muttaqin Baby's diapers are the absorbent, versatile and beautiful choice that make cloth diapering fun for parents as well as comfortable for babies.

One of the best things about the Muttaqin Baby line of diapers is the versatility. The store owner and diaper creator Michelle Shaheen makes an AIO (all in one) diaper as well as 5 kinds of fitted diapers. You are guaranteed to find at least one type that will fit your baby perfectly. With the quality construction of each handmade diaper and the absorbency of natural materials such as hemp and bamboo, you can't go wrong.

The AIOs have a PUL outer with a microfleece or velour inner. These diapers do not require a cover, and have a snap in doubler to cut down on drying time. These are hard to come by, and are not usually stocked. Michelle is best known for her fitted diapers.

There are four types of fitted diapers. Muttaqin Baby's fitted diapers almost always have a velour or bamboo velour inner. This soft fabric will wick away moisture while staying gentle to the sensitive skin of the diaper area. While you can find diapers with bamboo outers, Mutts are known for their adorable stretchy knit prints.

Newborn Mutts are made to fit babies up to 15 lbs. This design offers an umbilical snap down to keep the diaper from rubbing on the baby's cord stump. The soaker is located internally since newborns are not typically heavy wetters. Since the size range is so small, there is only one snap on each wing of the diaper, although there are two rise settings.

For older babies you can choose a side snapping or front snapping diaper. Both of these diapers have snaps for thigh and waist adjustment to get a great fit. Side snapping diapers have the wings go underneath the front of the diaper and snap on the side. These diapers, especially the front snap Mutts, are known to fit a wide range of babies. A medium front snapping Mutt can fit a 15 pound 4 month old as well as a 35 pound 3 year old. Both designs come with a snap in soaker. If you are looking for a trimmer fit, you can try the Babyshapes line of Muttaqin Baby Diapers. These diapers snap across the front and are more narrow and trim all around.

Finally, Muttaqin Baby features a one sized diaper called the 3 Sized Rise or 3SR diaper. These diapers are made to fit babies from 8 pounds all the way up to 35 pounds. This diaper has 3 sets of snaps. To get a smaller size, you simply fold down the front of the diaper and use the bottom two rows of snaps. For a larger fit you can use the top row of snaps. These diapers come with either a trifold or shaped soaker to boost absorbency and speed up drying time.

With all these choices from one WAHM (work at home mom) diaper store, you are sure to find the right diaper for your baby. Once you find a great fit, you can move on to finding a great print. With almost 200 different print choices, you are bound to find a favorite. Thanks to these beautiful prints and the absorbency of the bamboo and hemp typically used in Mutt diapers, many people let their baby go cover less.

If a beautiful and luxurious diaper is what you're after, then you need to try a Mutt!
