The Vatican List New Sins

John Messina
Sited by Reuters News on March 11, 2008 with the opening statement; "Thou shall not pollute the earth." Thou shall beware genetic manipulation".

According to Reuters News all this came about guidance this past weekend from the number 2 man in the Vatican, Archbishop Gianfranco Girotti. The Archbishop also stated "..the greatest danger zone of modern soul was the largely uncharted world of bioethics."

Well I'm not sure where Archbishop Gianfranco received this information from or did he just decided that it was time to create some new sins because it was about time the Catholic Religion had some.

According to Reuters Archbishop also states "...the modern soul". I didn't realize that our souls today are modern. If anyone has read my article on Spirituality in the 21st Century you will read that more people today are turning to Spirituality. Religions today are just not cutting it any more.

There has to be more to life and God than just going to Church on Sunday for a half hour and giving them your money, going home and your done with God until next weekend. Well it doesn't work that way.

Spirituality has much more meaning than going to Church. Spirituality is a way of living your life everyday and realizing that we are here to help one another. And the reason why we are here is for our soul to learn the lessons in this life time that we sought out to learn. God gave us all free will for a reason and that is so that we can learn by our mistakes, which also includes polluting the earth.

I don't understand why Archbishop Gianfranco Girotti calls us modern souls. If anything most of us are old souls that have reincarnated back on earth many times in order to learn or try to learn what we set out to do.

"Thou shall not pollute the earth." I think the Archbishop needs to read the history books. The earth's environment has been changing since the day it was able to sustain life. The dinosaurs went out of extinction because of the earth's climate changes. I don't think man had anything to do with killing off the dinosaurs.

The earth's environment is changing again because of the depletion of the ozone layer and global warming. Well the earth is going to continue to go through changes. I don't know who should own up to this sin. If you think about it we all are contributing to the pollution. Does that mean we should all stop driving our cars, should all factories stop burning fuel, should all the nuclear power plants shut down? I can continue but I think everyone gets the picture.

So what has Archbishop Gianfranco Girotti done to contribute to earth pollution? I'm sure he's not going to confess up to it.

Where to begin? A Prophet is one who has God's authority to reveal God's will to his people. This man neither has the authority to speak for God nor does he or any of us have the authority to add to God's commandments. The catholic church was established by men therefore they may say they speak God's will, but can only give a man's opinion to the world. To add to God's commandments is... wow! Very wrong. God CAN speak for himself. He does reveal his will to us. We CAN get personal revelation if only we listen to his promptings. God does reveal his will today to his people as in biblical times thru a prophet, one who does have the authority from God to reveal his will. The gospel given by our Lord Jesus Christ is not a practice-only-on-Sunday religion, it's meant to be a way of life. Pray and ask with a humble heart and a contrite spirit for answers, God will answer you.
