The Video Games You Love to Hate from 2010

Games you love to hate is an article containing a little bit of my quirky humor, 5 games you love to hate, and a little bit of information about each of these games. Things you will find inside are game play design structure, and the inevitable flaws of each game.

Games you love to hate #1, Deca Sports - DS.

This game has a lot of different sports packed into it. (If that's what you want to call them.) here's a list of the games included, Rugby, Sepak Tekraw, Ping Pong, Arm Wrestling, Bobsledding, Clay shooting, Sky diving, Wall climbing, Golf, and Cheer-leading. These games all have easy to use controls, and are really simple with lousy graphics...

Nintendo what are you thinking? Sega died due to too many sports games, are you trying to jump into a 6 foot hole as well? Come on Nintendo are you sure you really want to do this?

Seriously though sports games and handheld consoles don't go together. I can just imagine it now, the video game crowds screaming "swing batter batter" and you swing away, then oops your DS just landed in grandmas wig.

Games you love to hate #2, Mortal On line - PC.

Mortal on line is an MMO with a first person perspective. In game play and combat, the idea is that skill will be the determining factor for this game. How fast you react to your opponents attacks, and whether you dodge or stand like a fool.

It's an interesting design but it may prove to be just too complex for most. Mortal on line features a massive world and many races to choose from, but the leveling system is gone from this MMORPG, making it more like a MMOFPS.

This game simply doesn't appeal to me, the idea of a real time first person MMORPG is chaotic at it's best in my mind. The game tries to accomplish too much, in too little time and I fear that this will lead to it's downfall.

The complex game mechanics are likely to scare off all but the most hardcore gaming fans, and are definitely not going to appeal to the RPG crowd. This making Mortal On line have potential to be the biggest flop since barney met the PC.

Games you love to hate #3, Ninety Nine Nights - 360.

This game is quite possibly the single worst game to be released in 2010, it feigns to the promise of granting immortality, but lets you down with not much more then a drop of the water of life.

Though the action is intense and the graphics superb, the severe letdown is that it's just another hack n slash, and feels much like another dynasty warriors.

The battles seem endless and checkpoints are far between, so if your into bleeding fingers from mashing buttons so hard your nails fall off, then by all means, buy this game and love it like it's your first born. Otherwise give it the boot and forget about it.

Games you love to hate #4, Safe cracker - DS.

This game has you traveling from room to room, using nothing more then the arrows displayed on your screen and cracking safes. The game play is confusing and tedious at best. you change dials to try and crack safes and that's about all you do, so if your into tedious, repetitious, and boring mundane tasks. Then this is a great game for you.

Games you love to hate #5, House M.D. - DS WTF!?

Seriously what where they thinking? A DS game of House, oh wait they don't mean playing house like you use to as a kid, they mean the show House... The very idea of this game is dreadful, I mean seriously what kind of person actually wants to play a game like this? (House fan boys and girls aside.)

This game takes you through 5 unrelated cases just as the T.V. show would, and your job is to perceive the possible ailments. By using house searches, surgery, and questioning patients you might just save them. This game sounds like a cracked up "who dun it" to me. While the graphics are ok, the game play and design is fundamentally flawed.
